                                                               I            Introduction.

A.   Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera are known world-wide for their contributions to the evolution of art. They became two of Mexico’s most famous people and in turn revolutionized the world of art.
B.   There are three remarkable aspects about their lives such as:

1.      Biography.
2.      Marriage.
3.     Legacy and Art Style.


                            II.            Body

1.     Biography.

a)     Frida Kahlo was born on July 06, 1907 in Mexico, Coyoacán, and Diego Rivera was born on December 08, 1886 in Guanajuato, Mexico.
b)    They both were Painters, but Diego was also a muralist and Frida an art teacher. Diego studied painting at the National School of Fine Arts; on the other hand, Frida never assisted to an art school.
c)     In 1925, Kahlo was injured by a terrible bus accident that troubled her with chronic pain for the rest of her life.
d)    Frida died on July 13, 1954 in Mexico, Coyoacán, and Diego died on November 24, 1957 in Mexico City, Mexico.


 



2.     Marriage.

a)     They met at the National Preparatory School in Mexico City; where Diego was hired to paint a mural for the school.
b)    They got married in 1929.
c)     They had a very difficult relationship since the beginning. Their relation was full of infidelities, betrayals, and passionate disputes. 
d)    They got divorced in 1939 and remarried in 1940.



3.     Legacy.

a)     Kahlo's work own artistic vision and was intimate, personal, and surrealistic. While Diego’s art was filled with political ideology.
b)    They both were fascinated by Mexico's folk art and traditional culture. They belonged and firmly believed in international communism.
c)     By the 1970s Kahlo's fame had taken a worldwide dimension, and Rivera has been credited with giving modern Mexico its national identity.









 





 
 










                         III.            Conclusion.

The love affairs of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera was of epic proportions and inspired their art, making the couple artistic legends. Their legacy lives in all their paintings, drawings, sketches, canvas, and murals they left behind.
